The former senator who was a guest on Arise expressed surprise over the statement, noting that various APC spokesperson have continued to say such, emphasising that they are speaking as though they are ceding power to the oppositions—either to the Labour Party or to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Asserting that they are passing power over to a member of their own party, Shehu Sani, who made this comment, noted that they have frequently claimed that Nigerians will miss this government and wish that Muhammadu Buhari was still in office. Continue Full Reading>>>
As he put it, “Speaker after speaker keeps telling us that we will miss Buhari, that we will miss this government, and that we will wish that he is in power, as if they are handing power to the labour party or PDP.”
Given that Muhammadu Buhari’s term ends in less than 7 days and his party is still in control, it would be accurate to assume that Tinubu will succeed him as president.
