His legal team, led by Awa Kalu SAN, was dissatisfied that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ignored the court’s order to provide them with election materials. In response, INEC’s advocate A. B. Mahmoud SAN denied that the Commission had disregarded the court’s ruling.

The hearing was moved to Monday. Obi is aiming to have Tinubu’s election reversed on the grounds that he did not receive the majority of legal votes and that 18,000 polling stations interfered with results.
