A Member-elect of the House of Representatives and a PDP Chieftain, Honourable Bashir Gorau has alleged that the votes Tinubu got from the North West gave him an upper hand against his biggest opposition, Peter Obi.

He explained that over time, the North-West has decided who becomes the next president of Nigeria. According to him, for any candidate to emerge victorious in a Presidential election in the country, such a candidate needs an handshake with the North West people.  Continue Full Reading>>>

Going by his analysis, Tinubu having over 2 million votes from the North West was the game changer for him.

He said, ”The North West is the shock absorber of Nigeria politics. Anywhere we throw our weight is the person that will be the President of Nigeria.

The North West giving Tinubu over 2 million votes gave him an upper hand against Peter Obi. Because by our figures and population, we have the largest numbers in the country.”
