This move aims to honor the outgoing President for his perceived contributions. However, the Minister of Works and Housing, as well as the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, has expressed doubts about the South East region’s appreciation of the President and his administration’s impact on their area.
Fashola asserted that the South East cannot deny the positive changes brought about by President Buhari and his government in their region.

Quoting the exact statement released by Babatunde Fashola, he said, ”The North will occupy this country if Tinubu is not sworn-in as president on May 29.” “I often think that this ministry is a very difficult place to self-assess, but I believe that the feedback we receive from those we serve clearly encourages us and indicates that things have transitioned for the better from where we started.
