
Recall that on Monday, March 6, 2023, several posts from Labour Party supporters across social media platforms alleged that election results uploaded to the INEC Result Viewing portal (iREV) by the electoral umpire show that Obi won a total of 19 states across the federation during the polls as against the manually collated results which claim he only emerged victorious in 12 states.

Nevertheless, FFK, who is in charge of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Directorate on New Media Initiatives, recently responded on his verified Facebook page and called the accusations the biggest hoax in the country’s political history. The former aviation minister claimed that it was not only false to believe that Obi won the most recent election in 19 states, but it was also ludicrous.
He wrote
“The greatest and most obvious falsehood and deception of this dispensation and possibly in the history of Nigerian politics is the absurd notion that Peter Obi and his Labour Party won 19 states in the just concluded presidential election. It is a horrendous mendacity and a monstrous lie.”
