Akinwale also alleged on Sahara News TV that Peter Obi exhibits religious prejudice. He claimed that Peter Obi is a fanatics and that Nigerians cannot trust him to rule the country because of his alleged anti-Muslim attitude.

According to one of his statements, Tawfiq Akinwale also said, “Peter Gregory Obi was hostile towards the Muslims, and I am so happy he lost the presidential election.”
“I’m glad he didn’t win,” he continued, “not because of anything, but because that kind of man should not be given the responsibility of a country that isn’t a religious country or a tribal country.”
He went on to add that the allegedly leaked audio of Peter Obi and a cleric verified his concerns about Peter Obi.
