Benny Hinn claims that Mary did not recognize Jesus because he had changed since she had previously seen him.
He was unrecognizable due to the blood stains on his body and the bruises he had as a result of the torture he endured.
The priest added more support by revealing that the Holy Spirit entered the grave and used his authority to repair Jesus’ blessedly shattered body. Jesus’ appearance changed as a result, making it hard for Mary to recognize him.
