May 29: Reno Omokri Reacts As Supreme Court Dismisses PDP’s Suit Challenging ‘Double Nomination’ of Shettima

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri reacted as Supreme Court dismissed the suit seeking the disqualification of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.  Continue Full Reading>>>

In a tweet posted on his Twitter page, Omokri maintained that the apex court’s verdict is final, urging the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to accept their fate.

Speaking further, he prayed to God to grant Tinubu, the president-elect, the wisdom to govern Nigeria well.

“Well, the Supreme Court has spoken, and we must accept that they are final, not because they are correct, but because they are final. The inauguration will go on. I pray that God will give Tinubu the wisdom to govern Nigeria well until the final determination of our main suit, which we pray the PDP wins. Whether or not we win, we shall continue to wish our country and its leaders well, even though we are disappointed.”

Why Tinubu should not be sworn in on May 29, Datti Baba-Ahmed reveals

The vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the February 25 election, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has revealed what the Nigerian constitution says regarding the swearing-in of the president-elect.

Four days to the swearing-in of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president of Nigeria, Baba-Ahmed reiterated that it would amount to anti-democracy.

Datti maintained that swearing in the president-elect would amount to the death of democracy in Nigeria.

Reno Omokri begs Nigerians to help save democracy

Earlier, reported that Omokri called on Nigerians to use their voice to save democracy in Nigeria.

Omokri made this known on his social media page following the outcome of the 2023 presidential election in which Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared president-elect.

Tinubu is expected to be sworn in on Monday, May 29.
