INEC & APC Changed the Meaning of “AND” when the Constitution Stated 25% in 24 States & FCT- Momodu

PDP chieftain, Dele Momodu has taken to social media to accuse INEC and the ruling APC party of trying to alter the condition of a presidential candidate accumulating a total of 25 percent votes from 24 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja in order to be declared the President-elect of the country. Recall that Turkey had reportedly concluded their presidential election with the incumbent president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan having 49.52% of votes while Kemal Kilicdaroglu had 44.46%.

The country’s electoral body however called for a run off within two weeks as both presidential candidates failed to meet the constitutional requirement of having 50% votes in order to be declared the winner of such election.  Continue Full Reading>>>

And so Nigerian businessman, Dele Momodu in reaction to such election, took to his official Instagram page to state that Turkey’s Electoral Body did not declare President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the winner of such election and he agreed for a run off despite having 49.52% of votes which is approximately 50%, adding that;

“If it is Nigeria, the presidential candidate will hire 75 SANS and run to the supreme court to claim that 49.52 is equal to 50 just like the INEC and APC changed the meaning of AND when the constitution clearly stated that 25% in 24 states AND FCT”.
