According to the popular singer, he said that the organizers of the inauguration ceremony of the president-elect on May 29th wanted to offer him N5 million to perform, instead of N10 million, but he disagreed with the decision.
Portable made this announcement known to the public in a viral video shared by the Nigerian Tribune on Friday 26th, May 2023 where he said that other people were endorsing the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, but he was the one advertising the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to Portable, he said, “I was told that they asked me to preform in Tinubu’s inauguration at N5 million, instead of N10 million, but I tore the paper and said no because I was the one advertising Tinubu when others were busy going for Peter Obi “.
