How driver, painter stabbed, robbed Emmanuel – Police

 

The Police on Wednesday arraigned Tor Henry and Sunday Gambo, in a Grade 1 Area Court, Kabusa, Abuja, for allegedly robbing Ezekiel Emmanuel of his money and mobile phones.Continue Full Reading>>>

 

Henry, 29, a driver and Gambo, 24, a painter, who both live in Angwan Tiv, Kabusa village, Apo, Abuja, were arraigned on a three-count charge each of criminal conspiracy, assault causing hurt and theft.

The prosecution counsel, Stanley Nwafoaku, told the court that a complainant, Mr Ezekiel Emmanuel, had reported the matter on May 5, at the Galadimawa Police Station.

 

  1. Nwafoaku said the complainant reported that the defendants attacked and stabbed him with a knife, at Galadimawa Roundabout while he was waiting to board a commercial vehicle.Continue Full Reading>>>

 

He said that the defendants robbed the complainant of his bag containing N20,000 cash, a Techno and Samsung mobile phones valued at N67, 000.

 

According to the prosecution counsel, the offences contravened sections 96, 264 and 253 of the Penal Code.

 

The Judge, Abubakar Sadiq, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N300, 000 each, with one surety each in like sum.

 

Sadiq adjourned the case until June 7, for the commencement of trial.
