Governor Ayade has secretly signed into law, a bill to repeal the Cross River Gubernatorial Pension Law 2005 and tripled allowances for himself and cohorts.  Continue Full Reading>>>

Because the Supreme Court recently gave a judgment that stops Houses of Assembly from fixing pensions, they decided to repeal the pension law and use allowances.

The law was introduced for first reading and after that, members of the House of Assembly didn’t know anything again until it was singed into law. No second reading. No public hearing.

Don’t forget that these bills will be paid to all former governors, deputy governors, speakers and deputy speakers from 1999 till date.  Continue Full Reading>>>

The governor started paying others this month, ostensibly to accommodate himself as he is leaving.
